Product Reviews for Marshall AVT150 Guitar Combo Amplifier with DFX (150 watt, 4 channel, 1x12 inch)
Overall: Acoustic Sim: Not much like an acoustic, more like a well defined clean. sounds really nice though and if you fiddle with it you can make it sound exactly like the clean channel, then use the clean channel as a crunch channel with the gain up high.Clean: Really nice clean, not too bassy not too trebly and with the gain up high its such a beuatiful crunch (i must say i dunno how it compares to valve but it sounds so nice anyway)OD1: You can get tonnes of sounds from this channel, from classic rock with neck humbucker and scoop out, to punky rock with scoop in too even heavier sound on the bridge humbucker. My fav channel!OD2: This channel is not just for metal lovers (like myself i must say) with the scoop out it can have a sort of modern heavy rock sound, then with scoop in it goes to metal all the way - this channel sounds good palm muted but NOT OD1.DFX: Like so many other people have said, there are 9 reverbs and they all s@@k but the others are great. ( i found i can get a sort of reverb effect by putting delay on a VERY quick delay and setting volume at about half) Flange has got to be the best distortion sound ever, it makes it sound like a jet plane is flying really low over head and is great for heavy music.Overall: For what i paid brand new for this amp (£409) i think i got an unbelieveable deal as this amp has made my band's sound go from s@@te to great as the 2 guitars are goin through practically the same amp ( the other guy has an AVT100 ) We play all sorts and this does the job for everything - 2 thumbs up!!
