Product Reviews for Fender American Series Stratocaster (Maple, With Case) Feature: Nice. I like having the tremolo, which is not available (except for crappy Bigsby's) on my Gibsons. Quality: I have owned 2 strats and 2 gibsons ( a les paul studio and an SG), and the Gibsons just seem to be of much higher quality. The fenders look and feel cheap in comparison. Value: For the price I would fork out a little more and get a Les Paul studio or an SG standard. Desirability: If you want quality and sex appeal, get a Gibson or a Gretsch. Sound: Sounds great if you are looking for that single coil sound. A humbucker at the bridge would be nice for more tonal variety.
