Product Reviews for Fatar CMK137 37-Key MIDI Controller Keyboard Package Feature: This is a three-octave midi keyboardso you get 37 keys, a single mod wheel, bank change, program change, and that's it. I am returning mine because the three octave range is not enough...I'd have to remap drum sets in order to use it for entering drum sounds, andI cannot play any really bassy or upper range notes. Could really use an 1-2 octave +/- function to make this a useful piece of equipment. And the translucent black plastic is kind of uuugly, IMHO. Quality: Cheaply priced, cheaply made. Keys are sturdy, m9od wheel cheep, power and bank/program change buttons are chintzy. Wouldn't take it out of the house, but I don't need to. Value: I ]got this because it was the cheapest midi keyboard controller available, and that is what I got. It just was not enough to meet my needs, but at $79 its $60 less than its nearest competitor and a fraction of the price of most midi keyboards. Desirability: I'm returning it and going to try the edirol/roland pc 300 instead. Sound: It is a MIDI controller, so it does not really have a sound of its own. It is playable. The keys are nice, full sized and weighted, velocity sensitive. The mod wheel feels really delicate and the buttons for bank and program changes are kind of cheap.
