Product Reviews for Dean EAB Playmate Acoustic-Electric Bass Overall: Let's begin by saying I've wanted an acoustic bass for 15 years, never bought one, and couldn't afford to buy one for $350...This bass answered my prayers. For the price of this bass, you are getting one hell of a deal. The quality is just as good as some of the $350 basses and the tone is as good or better as some. The only things I can see and hear as far as quality is concerned is the finish could have been fine sanded a little more(but not bad) and the sound of the electric end is a little , eh...shallow? (maybe not the right word)..but all and all this bass is an incredible deal and well worth the money. You could play this bass anywhere and with some fine tuning electronically, make it's electrics sound better. Unbeatable bargain for an acoustic bass. Very surprised.
