Product Reviews for AKG C3000B Single Cardioid Large Diaphragm Mic Feature: It has good features, but it would be nice if it came with a shockmount. Quality: This mic seems very sturdy. Rough and rugged. I would trust it to use for live shows on the road. Desirability: I am nuetral about the look. I usually buy products for the features/reviews from other users. This mic looks ok, but very different from other mics I have seen. Sound: This mic sounds OK, but it does not sound very warm at all. I have used it to record vocals and horns mainly, and I have been fairly satisfied with the results, but I will be buying something else that sounds a little warmer. Support: Never called for support. Didn't need it Overall: Overall, I would give this mic somewhere between a six and a seven. The features are good, but I will definately be purchasing a different mic to use, especially for vocals. This mic is too harsh and brittle sounding. I am not an expert on mics, so I will give them the benifit of the doubt that I may have had the positioning/settings incorrectly. I would not buy this mic if it got lost or stolen.
